About Us & Who We Are
Our aim is to provide parents and guardians with the confidence and skills needed to deal with an Emergency Situation. Whether its your children that need assistance, or a situation you may find yourself in, our objective is to give you the confidence to try and help. Having both recently had our second children, we know how we felt when we first became parents and the worries we had about what to do in an emergency situation, yet we had the professional skills to help us.
Who We Are
My name is Sally Eadsforth and I qualified as a nurse from University of Southampton in 2005.
Since qualifying I have spent my time working within various Emergency Departments within the NHS. My current job is Senior Sister in the Emergency Department at Basingstoke and North Hampshire NHS Foundation Trust. I have also worked at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust in the Emergency Department as a Senior Sister, which is the Major Trauma Unit for the Southern Region.
I am an Advanced Life Support (ALS) and European Paediatric Life Support Provider (EPLS). I am also a mentor to nursing students and newly qualified nurses, so teaching has formed a significant part of my career.
I am also a mum to two young children, Catherine who is 3 years old and Jack who is 1 year old.
My name is Jenna Burchmore, I qualified as a Paediatric Nurse from University of the West of England in 2006.
I worked for two years in the Neonatal Intensive Care department at Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust, caring for extremely sick new born babies from birth right through until their discharge home. I was also involved in teaching parents and their families infant basic life support, to prepare them for their discharge home, to give them the skills they may need in an emergency situation.
I wanted to expand my paediatric skills so I moved to University Hospitals Southampton NHS Trust Emergency Department. I have been here for 8 years now and I hold the position of Paediatric Sister. I am also the lead for Health Promotion and Accident Prevention within the Paediatric Department, which is something I am passionate about.
Like Sally, I am also an Advanced Life Support Provider (ALS) and European Paediatric Life Support Provider (EPLS), both of which I have recently re certified and I am currently up to date. I am also a mentor to Nursing Students and newly qualified Nurses, which is something I enjoy doing.
I am a mum to Evie who is 3 years old and Daisy who is 1 year old, life is hectic to say the least but I wouldn't have it any other way .
